Complaints and Notice
Any member of the University community may make a complaint against any student for misconduct that violates the Code. Information brought to the attention of the Campus Life – Dean’s Office alleging misconduct will be investigated. All complaints may be directed to the University Discipline Office or Campus Life-Dean’s Office Complaints of misconduct involving students should be directed to the appropriate Hearing Office:
- For alcohol violations or community standards violations in or around a university housing facility, direct the complaint to the Office of Housing and Residence Life.
- For alcohol violations or community standards violations in or around a fraternity/sorority chapter facility, direct the complaint to the Office of Fraternity/Sorority Life.
- Complaints involving discrimination can be directed to the Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunity Officer and Title IX Officer at 817-257-5557.
- Complaints involving sexual harassment should be directed to the University Sexual Harassment Officer at 817-257-7820.
Upon receipt of a complaint, the Hearing Officer may initiate an investigation to determine if the complaint has merit. Notification of a complaint, investigations and resolutions of complaints will be undertaken in a prompt manner.
